What is the difference between the Elite and Select Panel?
There are a few differences between the Elite and Select Panels. The first difference between them is the length of the panels. The Elite panel is only 8ft long whereas the Select panel is 9.5ft long. Secondly, as the frame gauge of the Elite panel is 10 , it is a heavier panel weighing 50lbs, compared to the Select which is only 33lbs with a frame gauge of 21, which makes it a lot easier to move around and install.
Some other minor differences between the two panels are:
- The Select panel has a smaller mesh opening at 2’’ wide x 4’’ high compared to the Elite with an opening of 2.5’’ wide x 6’’ high.
- The Elite panel has a slightly longer foot at 39’’ compared to the Select foot which is 32” long.
- The Elite panel has a plate for a Broadfence/custom decal whereas the Select panel does not.
- The Select panel has a middle support bar across the middle and the Elite does not.
Where are the feet/wheel kits in my order of fence?
When you receive your panels, you may be looking for a separate box containing the feet/wheel kits. However, these are located in the stack of panels and you will find them every 10 panels or so.
What is approximate lead time?
Our lead time is approximately a week to 10 days for anywhere in North America. However, it can sometimes be shorter than a week depending on availability of trucks. Contact us to confirm delivery times.
Do you have 8ft high panels?
Yes, we now stock 8ft high x 9.5ft long Select Panels.
Do the wheel kits work on the Elite Panels?
No, the wheel kits can only attach to the Select Panels. However, you can create a gate on the Elite panels, as both rods on the feet are cylindrical, so they can be swung open to act as a gate.
Do you supply sandbags? How do I prevent the fence from blowing over in the wind?
We do not supply sandbags for our fence as the feet on the panels are generally heavy enough to keep the fence secure and stable. However, if your site is exposed to extreme amounts of wind, there are holes in the feet for stakes to be pounded in if necessary. Sandbags can also be acquired from your local hardware store.
Do we have to have machinery to unload our fence when it is delivered?/Do trucks come with the ‘on-board’ capability of unloading the panels?
It is highly recommend that, a piece of machinery of some sort needs to be available to unload when your fence arrives. We recommend using machinery with extended forks for safety and to prevent damage. However, should you choose to unload by hand this can be done too, but we recommend having several people available to help. The driver of the truck is not our own but is contracted for the delivery, and is not obliged to help. None of the trucks used to ship our panels have the ‘on-board’ capability of unloading them. You are responsible to arrange the offload.
What is the difference between the wire mesh panel and chain link panel?
The wire mesh panel that we supply is a lot nicer than the chain link panel as the mesh is welded to the actual frame of the panel. On a chain link panel, the mesh is only attached to the side of the frame which causes tangling and knotting when they are piled on top of each other.
Are any bolts, clamps, or wrenches needed to install the fence?
No, our fencing is very easy to install and requires no bolts, clamps, or wrenches to assemble. It is simply put together with a U-connector and has long, wide removable feet making the fence stable and easy to move. No more heavy concrete blocks!
Do you do colored panels?
No, we supply a fully galvanized panel which is a steel grey color. We have moved away from colored, painted panels as the paint often chipped off causing the panel to rust a lot more quickly.
